Hi Petar,
Since I was 21 I’ve had problems with my spine and I would have extremely stiff back at least once in two years in the lumbar region so I had to be treated with injections only to be able to get up from bed. I wasn’t allowed to lift more than 2 kilos, though I didn’t follow it :) You know yourself that I can now lift my daughter who has 30 kilos. Since I’ve been coming to Tai Chi I haven’t had stiff back not once nor have I had pains in the lumbar region.

My other problem is a deviation similar to neck spondylosis between the third and the forth vertebra. It’s been bothering me since I was 23, I often feel dizzy, sometimes I even faint if I don’t practice regularly or if I catch cold. If I’m nervous, my neck and the upper part of back get stiff and the situation gets even worse because my brain doesn’t get enough blood and oxygen. I had so many problems with this dizziness that I would get anxiety attacks and I wouldn’t leave my house alone, afraid that I would fall somewhere. I’ve changed about 5 different psychiatrists who were giving me some chemicals that made me feel like a zombie. When I gave birth to my daughter they diagnosed me with depression. How can I not be depressed when I can’t go to the park with my daughter! And medications again as soon as I stopped breastfeeding. I was truly desperate, because these medications weren’t helping, they only made me numb. After three months of practicing Tai Chi I have no problems going everywhere alone. So I can say that Tai Chi didn’t only improve my health but it has changed my whole life.

Besides all this, I started memorizing things more easily, I have more strength, so it happens that after Tai Chi I can make lunch and iron a machine of laundry and I barely came to the training, tired after work. Also, I no longer have painful menstrual cycles like I had before. Now I have no problems coming to the training on the day D, instead of lying at home and struggling with pain. I am generally calmer, focused on important things and I don’t get nervous as easily as before. If I also stop smoking I will be absolutely perfect :)

Desire to practice existed even before, but because of my frequent arrhythmia, high blood pressure and other symptoms, I didn’t dare start any physical activity, even though my doctors encouraged me.

I discovered Tai Chi by chance, but I was interested in it even before. Anyway, I started practicing in April and I have to be honest that I would endure the first trainings only out of spite, because only at first look these exercises are simple, non-complicated and easy. After four months of practice, arrhythmia that I had calmed down, my blood pressure normalized and cholesterol and triglycerides, which were normally in high levels during the last years, changed importantly. I underline that I’ve changed nothing in my diet, or in my life rhythm.

Warm recommendation to anyone, only don’t do it out of spite :)

I’ve been practicing Tai Chi for 5 years. I didn’t choose it for health reasons, but in order to work on myself. Quality of my life improved incredibly in this period. The thing which is constantly insisted upon during the trainings, the union and communication between mind and body and what I have achieved during the trainings, I am now able to achieve in my everyday life. Body statics improved incredibly, I don’t remember when I was ill and I get nervous hard and rarely.

I really like the exercises, especially since you, Petar, have been working alone. Creativity, love, dedication and serenity which you bring to trainings, give us more than a simple practice.

Since I have practiced elsewhere in the city, I can affirm responsibly (like in the TV commercial) IT DOES MATTER! The exercises themselves are simple, timeless, essence of health and hundreds years of wisdom. If they are taught by someone who shares at the same time his whole experience, knowledge, love and pleasure, than you cannot but practice and enjoy yourself, and all the benefits of it will come to you.

I know that you are a modest young man, but I will still tell you that I am infinitely grateful to you because you helped me with your dedication to find some pieces of my being that were inaccessible to me.

It is not his knowledge and skills that make a Master, but what he is able to transmit to others, and I hope that those of us who were able to recognize and receive, who work diligently on themselves on the road of harmonious, calm and healthy life, would succeed in convincing you that you are a Master.

It’s never too late! – Since I was young I had problems with joints; pain, swelling – it was treated with injections and other different therapies, but with no improvement. When I was 60 I started practicing Tai Chi and since then the pain and swelling have gradually disappeared. I have been exercising for nine years now. The Chi Gong exercises are very beneficial – as prevention and for health. I really enjoy doing Tai Chi. It demands constant self-development – an endless road.

Dear Petar,
With this letter, I wish to thank you for the effort you invest in teaching the eastern way of training and understanding of body and mental fitness.

Cerebral artery stroke is an enormous attack to anyone, no need to explain what it means for a man in his full strength at the age of 42. Anyway, 15 months since it happened, and after everything I unfortunately had to experience because of that damage, coming to your training finally consolidated me physically and psychologically and of course, gave me hope and feeling that I will soon run again. After three months of coming to Olimp, my progress is evident.

These words should be read by any person who has an opportunity and wishes to raise their level of fitness and health in a natural way.

When I heard about Tai Chi – Chi Gong exercises, I enrolled among the first ones. At first, when I started doing these exercises, it seemed very complicated, even ridiculous. Nevertheless, I managed it fine, and today I do these exercises easily. I feel much better than before, I feel more relaxed and refreshed. Since I’ve been doing Tai Chi exercises, I get tired less, I move effortlessly and I don’t feel any pain. My blood pressure is regular and I don’t lose weight.

Besides the Tai Chi exercises, I walk 10 km every day at 6 km per hour. Even though I have sick prostate for years, which was twice operated, it does not prevent me from being active and exercising.

The observation after three months of practising Tai Chi exercises “Movement as a Cure”.

I’m 65 and four months ago I felt some pain on the left side of my back and numbness in my left arm. While visiting the doctor, on the wall of the hospital I noticed a poster recommending the exercises “Movement as a Cure” in the Sports Center Olimp. I enrolled and now, three months later, I am making an account of my practice.

The general impression is unbelievable. After 65 years of life and work, I get to know a new way of attaining physical culture and correcting everything that my way of life and work has so far left as consequence to my body and health. I and other practitioners work by the programme and instructions by Petar Ilic. The medical problem I had when I started practising is not completely eliminated, but I do feel the progress.

The general state of my body and health is incomparably better, as well as enthusiasm and will. The way we practice has given us all this so far and Petar’s explanations and knowledge give us a beautiful perspective and a future to look forward to.

I started practicing Tai Chi Chuan – Chi Gong 5 months ago.

Given that my problem is discus hernia, I feel much better today. I walk more easily, the pain is almost gone. The trainings became an integral part of my life.

Petar is a remarkable instructor and man. I recommend the Tai Chi – Chi Gong exercises to everyone. Petar does it so well and successfully that we cannot wait the day when we have trainings, me and the rest of the group as well.

On the subject of my practice of Chi Gong exercises so far and on suggestion of my instructor Petar Ilic, I feel free to present certain observations on effects and changes that this system (in my case, it is a little less than a year) has had on me.

In the course of the first months already, I was surprised BY the effects I was experiencing in the natural surroundings, in this quiet place and during the undisturbed routine performance of the exercises – that I can consciously enter within my own body, stay there for a while, aware of the surroundings and sensations around me. As if the body functioned on a special energy level – “returning to itself”.

The exercise set for gathering and maintaining the energy, balancing different parts of the body and for balancing the yin and yang, created in me the state of, so to say Bioelectrification – pleasant tingling – from the inside towards the outside through arms and head, and sometimes even through the whole body.

The set of “standing” exercises also had pleasant effects on me, even better than the warm up exercises. They woke me up, relaxed and made me concentrate even though I could fall asleep while performing them.

Usual and well known improvements were manifested in my case with: increasing my strength, flexibility, liveliness – cheerfulness, experience of the body and space. Accepting a certain rhythm and periodicity – frequency of the exercise, the body even felt a need, “asked for” training at certain times. A need to keep my body straight and straightening of my slouched back is another good improvement.

In the end, I would point out a very good effect on better psychological state, its stabilisation, a higher level of introspection which I explain in terms of certain calming of my mind that resulted from the exercises against stress, anxiousness, tension, negative emotions. On the psychological level, there is an improvement in communication, understanding and sound positioning of problems and values, which besides the previously mentioned effects leads to psychophysical recovery.

Tai Chi – Chi Gong exercises that we perform under your instructions all have beneficial effects on the overall state of my body.

Given my age, these exercises of low intensity harmonize my breathing rhythm which contributes to my relaxation. Most of all, after the training, you unselfishly, through a pleasant conversation, give us useful bits of advice in order for us to achieve better body functioning.
